Way Late Halloween

Sorry it's been a while, but the holidays are here people and things get crazy!

For Halloween we went to Boo at the Zoo {trick or treating at the zoo}. We do this every year because it's a blast! And they give out dang awesome candy:) Tay was of course a Jedi and Paigey didn't grow since last year so she was a kitty again.

Hairstyle Tutorial

Start out by making a small diagonal french braid to the side...

Start french braiding one side of the back piggie buns, adding the diagonal braid into it as you go...

French braid other side and you're done...

I have people ask me all the time how I get my daughter to sit still while doing her hair. I totally believe that if you start from the day they are born by putting headbands or bows on their heads then they will be used to you doing their hair. I also turn on cartoons and give her a little snack to keep her occupied as well. And lastly, when we're at home and not going anywhere I still at least put a bow in her hair just so she's used to it. I know that everybody is different, but that's just what works for us.

So Mean

When Tay was 4 we decided it would be so fun to get a Jack O Lantern pizza from Papa Murphy's for Halloween. He was so excited...

Then we decided to cut into it because that's normally what you do with a pizza and the water works began..

He seriously thought we were like cutting into a real face or something. It was traumatic to say the least.
Well, this year I figured it had been a few years and he's 6 now and the Miss is 2 so I'll go ahead and get another one of those cute pizza's. The minute we pulled up he started to cry "No! I don't want to get one of these pizza's! Please can we just get it without the smiley face?" After some coaxing and telling him it's just pizza it's ok, he decided it would be fine. Until we got it out of the oven.

The Little Miss couldn't have been happier with the outcome. The Tay-Man was again traumatized this Halloween season. I'm such a mean mom. Seriously, what kind of a mother plans something fun like a Halloween pizza for their kids? Ha! Poor kid!
